Crockpot BBQ Chicken
It is Delicious! We had this for lunch after church yesterday.
I got this recipe from a dear friend of mine.
3 large chicken boneless/skinless chicken breasts
6 boneless/skinless chicken thighs
1 medium cabbage
Pink Himalayan salt
Freshly ground pepper
1 large bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce( low sugar)
Set the crock pot on high, Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste.
Rinse and cut cabbage into big pieces. Wash carrots, peel and cut them in half
Place 1 layer of cabbage then 1 layer of carrots and then 1 layer of chicken. Repeat and top off with remaining cabbage.
After about 1 hour of cooking, pour bottle of BBQ sauce all over the chicken. Leave it alone for the next 4 hours.
I served mine with a side of steamed broccoli and white rice. You can also just make good old traditional BBQ sandwiches. Hope you enjoy it as much as me and my family did.
